Stay Home, Stay Safe


The last 4 weeks has been tough for many of us during COVID-19 and the governments’ order to shut down leaving only essential business operating.  Who would have thought that we would be where we are today.  The our world is almost standing still!  

We would like to THANK the frontline and essential workers that are still going to work daily to keep our community running.  Words can not express our gratitude.

As photographers our job is to capture all of life’s Treasured Memories… The #StayAtHome order right now, avoids putting ourselves, our families, our clients and the public at risk.  We, as a community, know that now is not the time to be working.  


For all of us photographers and small business owners this means postponing or cancelling sessions all together.  Maternity sessions on our calendars are now being pushed out or not happening at all…  Newborn sessions, which normally happen in the first few weeks after birth, are being postponed until business is allowed to resume… Cake Smash/Birthday sessions are now being celebrated at a later date… and we will miss seeing our families for Spring sessions but hope to see you in Summer and Fall.

After seeing another fellow photography community from Ottawa share a message of hope during COVID-19, I was inspired to reached out to our local photographers in Burlington, Hamilton and Niagara to continue the Stay At Home project.   They rose to the challenge of getting in front of the camera with an important message to our clients and community…

We all realize that while documenting these treasured memories is an honour and a keepsake for the families we work with and come to love, that there is a brighter tomorrow and we are looking forward to getting back in the studio and creating these memories with you soon.

Making Memories – April 2020

For the month of April 2020 I want this to be about sharing the MEMORIES… the ones we have had.. and the ones we will be making….. I have some amazing GETTING connected Activities, Give-a-ways and FREEBIES that I will be posting every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS on our Social Media pages!!!!…. 

Starting with Friday April 3rd with our first FREEBIE FRIDAY….which is opened to all PAST Treasured Memories Client….  Share your FAVORITE image from one of your sessions with Treasured Memories on our Facebook Page Post… and receive a FREE 5×7 Print of that image!… simple as that!!!  Everyone gets a FREE print!   I am sure you will have more then ONE favorite of course… but for this Friday April 3rd we ask that you share just ONE!!!  

Every Friday will be FREEBIE FRIDAY…. (from your favorite session)

Friday April 10th – Free Digital Collage

PLUS we will be doing a draw for ONE FREE 11×14 Print every week for those that enter the Freebie Fridays!!!!

On Mondays we will be doing a weekly check in with everyone and we want to see what your family has been up to… and on Wednesdays we will be doing our “What’s Up Wednesdays” weekly to let you know what we have been up to that week!!!…. 

Of course I am also planning on doing some RANDOM give-a-ways throughout the month for Treasured Memories Gift Certificates for future 2020 sessions!!!

Staying Social During Covid-19

I hope this message finds you all healthy and safe!!! March 2020 has certainly been a rough month for everyone and my heart goes out to all of you and your families.  And hope that you are staying social during Covid-19.


Heart to Heart

As the world is an uncertain place right now, I wanted to check in to make sure that our Treasured Memories Family is staying safe and healthy… including your mental health right now… 

The last 3 weeks has sure been something right out of a movie!  Of course right from the first announcement I had decided to shut down Treasured Memories studio for the safety of our clients and community.  For the first week or so my spirits were high with creativity and energy… and being able to spend all this time with the family.  And now 3 weeks later as many of us are confined to our homes and dealing with the stresses of jobs, kids, education and finding basic necessities, social distancing can make us feel alone… I know it has for me… 

Let’s Get Social
Like most during this time I find myself drawn to Social Media (Facebook and Instagram) as my window to the outside world…. in the past I had always enjoyed watching my friends and clients family through their post updates… and now I find I am scrolling and watching more as I NEED to still feel connected to the outside world…

And I want to GET SOCIAL with you as well!  What I have learned from all of this is that it is so important to have these social connections….  staying social during Covid-19…
