One of the most exciting parts of newborn and baby photography is not just the cute, adorable subjects I get to work with, but the fun and creativity involved with every photo session. With spring in the air I wanted to create some beautiful spring themed set ups and loved the idea of the floral baby bonnet prop to use at the studio.
Some of these bonnets can go from $40US – $100US on websites like etsy…. however you don’t need to spend a ton of money on expanding your prop collection if you have a little creativity and a hot glue gun. One of my favorite things to do other then photography is creating beautiful handmade photo props to use during my sessions.
I just fell in love with creating these little bonnets that I wanted to share a little “how to make a floral baby bonnet prop” video tutorial to show you has easy it is to create unique custom handmade newborn and baby photo props without breaking the bank.
In less then 20 minutes and for about $10 you can create a unique photo prop….
Here are a list of supplies you will need:
– 4 – 5 Silk floral steams (or bouquet) Check Micheals
– Light weight fabric or scarf
– Sheet of felt… 8 x 12
– Hot glue gun and sticks
– Scissors
